The Munich Center for Ancient Studies 

The Munich Center for Ancient Studies (MZAW) is a consortium of scholars from seven faculties at LMU Munich related to ancient studies. The research group aims to support the interdisciplinary cooperation of its members in research and teaching. Its objectives include uniting existing groups of scholars as well as planning and organising new groups, supporting early career scholars, and the organisation of interdisciplinary events. MZAW members are dedicated to fostering cooperation with other academic disciplines, with research networks within the LMU Munich, with extra-university institutions including museums and the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), and with comparable national and international organisations.
